Webinar Recap: 1000 Ways to Use Your iPad

Posted by: kmichaelis2 | Category: Headlines

Thanks to all who attended our webinar and asked questions! If you missed it you can view the slides or watch it below. We appreciate the great insight we received from Sarah Greenough and Dan Harvey from Princeton Properties. Sarah and Dan have spent some time with our SiteTablet iPad app at their properties and shared their expertise on best practices.

Although they both admitted to committing iPad no-no’s such as using it for a food tray and putting their cat-food dish on top of it (really, Sarah?), they also found other very valuable uses for it.

Work order management—when they or one of their employees are walking the property and see something that needs to be fixed, they can streamline the process by entering a work order through the SiteTablet while they’re out and about.

Building relationships—whether it be with residents or visitors, you may just make a new friend for no other reason than you both think the iPad is super cool.  ”We are looking for technologies to improve our efficiency so we can focus more on the relationship.”-DH

The power of 3G—while working at a windy property, Sarah has experienced her fair share of power outages. Since getting the SiteTablet, they’ve still been able to access everything they need to, work through the outage, and even help residents experiencing the power outage too.

Realtime availability and pricing—while the SiteTablet won’t replace all uses of the brochure (sadly you can’t send a prospect home with your iPad), it will cut down paper in the office and give information on unit pricing and availability updated by the second…something your brochures can’t do. “Brochures left us stuck in time without updated information, pricing, or availability. How often would we say, ‘Oh that unit isn’t actually available.’”-SG

Eatin’ good in the neighborhood—the SiteTablet is great for giving visitors virtual tours of your property and units, but it also can go one step further and show what the location has to offer. Visitors can view a map radius of your property on the SiteTablet to see what schools, parks, museums, restaurants, etc. are in the neighborhood. “One of the ways we can differentiate ourselves is to sell the neighborhood as part of the community.”-DH

Although the iPad 2.0 introduction was just a couple weeks ago, Property Solutions has already built prototype move-in, move-out checklists and work order management. Properties like Princeton plan on using the new camera function to tag pictures onto their work orders that integrate directly into their property management software.

We weren’t exaggerating when we said 1,000 ways to use your iPad! Check out the slides and webinar recording to see the rest!
