Last December we began our ResidentPay Sweepstakes, asking residents to pay their rent online via ResidentPay for the chance to win a new Kindle Fire. Book lovers across the U.S. responded, dreaming that they could cozy up with their very own e-reader and combat the winter blues with Lisbeth Salander or Dean Koontz. Well, the wait is over for two lucky winners: congratulations to Thomas Lowe of Oregon (Fairfield Residential) and Anne Kemmerer of Georgia (Madison Group)! Thanks to everyone who participated and helped get the word out, and we hope you continue to enjoy the convenience and security of online payments.
Last week’s release was so big that it took longer than expected to get all of the material together to update you all on what went live. Below are the details of the release.
Residents Works Dashboard
New Dashboard for all Resident Works users organized by tabs/groupings on the left side. The number on the side indicates items that need the attention and action. Tabs show/hide based on user permissions and Property Solutions products with contracts.
We all know the old adage “don’t judge a book by its cover” but when it comes to Facebook users, it’s exactly what we do. In a recent study investing how people formed opinions of others on Facebook, researchers found that most people formed their impressions by users’ photos without ever reading the “About” profile text. With the release of timeline for business, this means your cover has a substantial impact on the opinions of those who visit your page. According to Brandon Van Der Heide, lead author of the study, “Photos seem to be the primary way we make impressions of people on social networking sites.”

What makes renters tick? What do they expect out of their rental experience? How important are ratings and reviews? How do renters shop for apartments, and how does that impact marketing efforts? Such are the questions that plague multifamily professionals. That is, until a recent study conducted by SatisFacts and 30 Lines entitled Getting Inside the Head of Today’s Online Renter — a groundbreaking study that takes out the guess work and lays down the facts about attitudes and behaviors of the modern apartment seeker.
With more resources than ever available to prospective renters and current residents, it is crucial that marketers be able to allocate their limited time and resources to reach and serve their target audience. This new study is the most comprehensive analysis in the industry on the impact of technology and social media on apartment marketing and operations.
5 Ways Next-Generation Technology Will Blur the Line Between Call Center and Leasing Office
The multifamily industry has heard a lot about the dangers of missed calls, and rightly so. Missing leasing calls is tantamount to flushing up to 60 percent of your marketing budget down your office toilet. On the retention side, 11 percent of non-renewing residents blame unresponsive property offices for their decision to move out. Shocked by these numbers, dozens of companies have turned to call centers to fill the gaps. However, while these call centers have increased performance, they aren’t yet the leasing partners they could be.
We’ve taken one of our most popular design themes and made it even better. The new version lets you customize colors and calls to action to best fit your marketing needs. A new footer provides space for corporate links and SEO-boosting social media links. Like all of our new designs, Primavera’s animation is Flash-free for stronger optimization and better function across mobile devices.
